Natural Beauty
Inspired by wisteria vines, the Fuji collection showcases bunches of clear and champagne gold crystals that cascade naturally from delicate, cast brass branches. Each element is special. The custom brass castings add uniqueness and value, and the unique way the crystals attach to each other is vital to create that natural bunching and movement similar to wisteria flowers. Small crystals also trail up the main chain to add to the vining feel. Overall, this collection adds modern romance to the home through its natural inspiration and attention to details.
The arm design started out as a natural, curly look similar to vines. However, I chose to go with the top version because it was more abstract and contemporary and did not overpower the fixture with too much metal.
Original concept and arm exploration
I specifically designed how the crystals attached to each other so each strand cascaded and twisted naturally. I took inspiration from beading and hand-made jewelry techniques I explored as a kid.
The crystal detail on the chain was important to carry the wisteria vine inspiration across all parts of the fixtures. It added more romance and sparkle and also showed care and artistry to those who looked closely.
The Fuji collection is a popular design amongst both designers and customers, and both a 28IN and 36IN diameter chandelier is going to be released soon to add to the wall sconce, linear chandelier, and foyer pieces.
